An experiment in composition, hatching and lighting that I thought looked nice enough.

I want to draw more like this, I need to work on values and shading and it looks pretty nice too. I'm not too sure how to control for the mid tones though. I feel like using soft shading would be pretty bad, so probably using screentone like in manga? And/or dithering
